Legacy Partnerships

At Bootleg Silver Co., we believe the most meaningful works of art begin with a story.

Through our Legacy Partnerships program, we collaborate with luxury hospitality, higher education, healthcare organizations, foundations, nonprofits, museums, and private clients to create heirloom-quality commissions that honor people, celebrate milestones, and preserve legacy for generations.

Every commission is handcrafted in our Arizona mother-and-daughter studio using sterling silver, fine silver, gold, copper, brass, and thoughtfully selected natural materials. From hand-carved Burmese jadeite, Guatemalan jadeite, and nephrite to American turquoise, Arizona fire agate, coral, and other exceptional gemstones, each material is individually selected, carved, and incorporated to reflect the unique story every commission is created to preserve.

LEGACY IN METAL. HERITAGE IN STONE.

More Than Jewelry

A Legacy Partnership is more than jewelry.

It is a story preserved in metal and stone.

It may commemorate decades of leadership through a retirement commission.

It may honor a transformational donor whose generosity shaped an institution.

It may celebrate the anniversary of a luxury resort, preserve the history of a ranch or family business, or become the signature artwork for a gala auction that inspires generosity.

It may recognize a physician's career, a university milestone, or the people whose vision built an organization.

Every Legacy Partnership is thoughtfully designed with craftsmanship, purpose, and deep respect for the legacy it represents.

Western Heritage

Bootleg Silver Co. was founded on generations of Western heritage, craftsmanship, and storytelling.

Growing up between the mountains of Idaho and the deserts of Arizona, founder Suzette Meyers spent her childhood watching her grandfather, Merle—a rancher, folk artist, metalsmith, and leatherworker—work in his shop. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong passion for metalsmithing that she later refined through formal high school instruction.

Today, Merle's cattle brand serves as the maker's mark stamped into every Bootleg Silver Co. piece.

Her grandmother Dorothy's lifelong love of jade and turquoise became the inspiration for Bootleg Silver Co.'s signature Desert Bloom collection, where hand-carved jadeite and nephrite are paired with American turquoise and other exceptional natural materials to celebrate the landscapes and heritage of the American Southwest.

Today, Suzette creates alongside her daughter, Kadance, continuing a family tradition while crafting heirloom works of art that preserve stories, celebrate milestones, and carry legacy forward for generations.

Foundation in Relationships

Before founding Bootleg Silver Co., Suzette Meyers spent more than two decades building relationships through government affairs, business development, and organizational leadership.

Working alongside nonprofits, healthcare organizations, higher education institutions, elected officials, and business leaders provided firsthand insight into how organizations recognize leadership, celebrate milestones, honor generosity, and preserve institutional history.

Today, those same relationship-building skills shape every Legacy Partnership commission, transforming significant stories into handcrafted works of art that will be treasured for generations.

Our Studio

Bootleg Silver Co. is a mother-and-daughter metalsmithing studio based in Arizona.

Every commission is handcrafted—not mass produced.

From carving jade and fabricating precious metals to stone setting, finishing, and final presentation, every piece is created entirely in our studio with exceptional attention to detail.

No two Legacy Partnerships are ever alike.

Our process is intentionally personal because every story deserves to be told with care, craftsmanship, and authenticity.

Legacy Partnership Commissions

Bootleg Silver Co. collaborates with organizations and private clients to create meaningful, handcrafted works of art that honor people, preserve history, and commemorate defining moments.

A Legacy Partnership may take many forms—from a wearable heirloom created for one individual to a dimensional work of art designed to preserve the story of an entire organization.

Commissions may include:

Dimensional Legacy Motifs — Original murals in metal and stone translating personal, organizational, or institutional history into fine art.

Commemorative & Legacy Pieces — Including coin-based works, bolos, jewelry, and presentation pieces created around an existing or newly commissioned emblem, medallion, or significant object.

Donor & Legacy Giving Recognition — Singular works created to commemorate transformational generosity and philanthropic impact.

Executive, Leadership & Retirement Commissions — Personal heirlooms honoring decades of service and leadership.

Institutional & Organizational Milestones — Artwork commemorating anniversaries, historic achievements, campaigns, openings, and defining moments.

Hospitality & Destination Commissions — Works reflecting the history, landscape, architecture, or identity of resorts, ranches, and destination properties.

Higher Education Commissions — Works created to recognize university milestones, leadership, donors, distinguished service, institutional history, and significant achievements.

Foundation & Nonprofit Commissions — Meaningful works created to recognize service, philanthropy, conservation, organizational history, and mission-driven impact.

Gala & Fundraising Artwork — Signature pieces created for auctions, fundraising events, and philanthropic initiatives.

Private Heirloom Commissions — One-of-a-kind works preserving family history, meaningful materials, places, and personal stories.

Every Legacy Partnership begins with listening.

Materials, imagery, symbols, landscape, architecture, archival elements, existing objects, and organizational history can all become part of the design language. The resulting work is not selected from a catalog—it is developed specifically around the story it is meant to preserve.

Whether the finished commission becomes a wearable heirloom, commemorative object, or dimensional mural in metal and stone, it is created with the intention of carrying that story forward for generations.
