Each work is hand-fabricated using thoughtfully selected combinations of sterling silver, fine silver, copper, brass, 14k yellow and rose gold, Black Hills Gold, Type A jadeite, nephrite jade, American turquoise, Arizona fire agate, Spencer Opal, Mediterranean coral, pink conch shell, chrysoprase, variscite, gaspeite, maw sit sit, mother of pearl, black jade, and other exceptional natural gemstones—each material intentionally chosen to help tell your story.

The Legacy Motif is Bootleg Silver Co.'s original approach to translating personal and institutional stories into dimensional, hand-fabricated murals in metal and stone. As the foundation of our Dimensional Mural Series, each Legacy Motif is individually conceived, designed, and fabricated as a one-of-one work of art, preserving the people, places, traditions, and milestones that deserve to be remembered for generations.

Maker's Legacy Motif I: From Idaho to Arizona is the inaugural work of the Dimensional Mural Series and the first expression of this artistic approach. While every future Legacy Motif will tell a different story, this first mural tells my own.

It honors my grandfather, Merle, whose maker's mark and life as a rancher, craftsman, and folk artist inspired my appreciation for handmade work and enduring legacy. It also honors my grandmother, Dorothy, whose lifelong love of jade and turquoise became the inspiration for Bootleg Silver Co.'s Desert Bloom Collection. Together, their influence shaped both the artist I became and the legacy I now preserve through metal and stone.

Today, the Legacy Motif extends beyond my own story. Through Legacy Partnerships, families, ranches, universities, physicians, foundations, donors, organizations, and institutions can commission a one-of-one Legacy Motif created to preserve their own story for generations to come.

Commission Investment

Each Legacy Motif is a one-of-one commissioned work of art, individually designed and hand-fabricated to preserve your story through metal and stone. Commissions begin at $4,500 and are priced according to the scale of the work, selected materials, complexity of the design, and the level of customization required.

Every commission begins with a personal design consultation, where we'll explore your story, discuss meaningful materials and symbolism, and develop a concept that reflects your legacy before fabrication begins.

To reserve your place in the studio schedule and begin the design and fabrication process, a 75% non-refundable deposit is required upon approval of the final design proposal. The remaining balance is due prior to delivery of the completed Legacy Motif.
