Every Legacy Motif is an original work of art individually designed to preserve a personal, family, institutional, or organizational legacy through handcrafted metal and stone.

Each composition is conceived, designed, and hand fabricated in the Bootleg Silver Co. studio using thoughtfully selected combinations of sterling silver, fine silver, copper, brass, 14k yellow and rose gold, Black Hills Gold, GIA-certified Type A jadeite, nephrite jade, American turquoise, Arizona fire agate, Spencer opal, Mediterranean coral, pink conch shell, chrysoprase, variscite, gaspeite, maw sit sit, mother of pearl, black jade, and other exceptional natural materials. Every material is intentionally selected to help tell the story it represents.

The Legacy Motif is Bootleg Silver Co.'s original approach to translating personal and institutional stories into dimensional, hand-fabricated murals in metal and stone. As the foundation of the Dimensional Mural Series, each Legacy Motif is conceived and fabricated as an original work of art that preserves the people, places, traditions, milestones, and histories that deserve to endure for generations.

Legacy Motif Commissions are original works of art and are not part of Bootleg Silver Co.'s wholesale trade collection. While our retail partners may carry Bootleg Silver Co. jewelry through the Trade Portal, Legacy Motif Commissions are acquired directly through the studio.

Maker's Legacy Motif I: From Idaho to Arizona is the inaugural work of the Dimensional Mural Series and the first expression of this artistic approach. It honors my grandfather, Merle, whose life as a rancher, craftsman, and folk artist inspired my appreciation for handmade work and enduring legacy, and my grandmother, Dorothy, whose lifelong love of jade and turquoise became the inspiration for Bootleg Silver Co.'s Desert Bloom Collection. Together, their influence shaped both the artist I became and the legacy I now preserve through metal and stone.

Today, the Legacy Motif extends beyond my own story.

Through Legacy Partnerships, families, ranches, museums, universities, healthcare organizations, foundations, corporations, private collectors, and other institutions commission original Legacy Motifs to preserve their own stories through permanent works of art.

Commission Investment

Legacy Motif Commissions begin at $4,500.

Each commission is individually quoted according to the scale of the composition, selected materials, complexity of fabrication, and overall project scope.

Every project begins with a personal design consultation where we explore your story, meaningful symbolism, and material selections before developing a custom concept unique to your commission.

A 75% non-refundable design and fabrication deposit is required upon approval of the final proposal to reserve your place in the studio schedule. The remaining balance is due prior to delivery of the completed work.
