The Royston Landscape Shadowbox Ring is a one-of-one Heritage Series composition, hand fabricated in sterling silver using a saw-cut shadowbox construction to create depth and dimension beneath the stones.

At the heart of the piece sits a polished Royston turquoise cabochon, surrounded by textural Arizona gem silica inlay arranged to create a miniature landscape within the recessed silver setting.

Polished black onyx teardrops are individually positioned across the landscape to form a dimensional flower. Their deep black surfaces create a dramatic contrast against the blues and greens of the Royston turquoise and Arizona gem silica, while oxidized sterling silver defines the individual layers of the composition.

Rather than using stone simply as ornament, each material becomes part of the artwork—the polished cabochons, textural gem silica, negative space, and hand-fabricated silver combining to create a small-scale dimensional mural meant to be worn.
